Chicks in a Row – Passing it On!

When Karah asked me to help launch to Pass it On Project, I was in.

We sent gifts to a few of our favorite bloggers and they in turn will send gifts to their favorite bloggers and so on and so on.

I happily created some hand made gifts – from stamped spoons, to chalkboard silver platters to bath salts.  You can see them here.

So, when out of the blue, I received a box from Linda at Fingers in the Dirt, I was like a kid at Christmas.

After all, who doesn’t like presents?!

So, I ripped that box to smithereens and found the cutest little “Scrappy Chicks” nesting inside.

You see, Linda read about our Pass it On Project and decided to mail me a gift.  Thanks Linda!

Linda’s Scrappy Chicks are modeled after her real chicks – Henny & Penny!

Check out Linda at Fingers in the Dirt where she’ll introduce you to her California way of life where she integrates hens into urban gardens…

she’s a true Urban Farm Girl!  And her gardens – amazing!

Passing it On

You know Karah from the space between originally came up with the name The Kindness Project but I told her I thought Pass it On Project sounded better.

She joked that I had an aversion to kindness and very kindly used my suggested name.

Well, it was fate today at the thrift shop when I came upon this huge vintage 1960’s needlepoint!

I had to scoop it up – it’s so colorful and fun!  Every time I look at it, I’ll be reminded of all the fab friends I’ve made while blogging and the kind (yes, I said kind!) things they’ve done to help me along!

Here’s to Passing it On and Being Kind!

Ok – that’s enough mushiness for one day!

I’m On Spring Break – See You Next Week!

  1. HAHAHAHA! I can’t even count how many times you said Kind in this post. You are totally ruining your image in my eyes! You know I love you. :)

Enjoy your spring break!! See you next week.

  2. Have a wonderful Spring Break!

  3. Awww – Henny and Penny are letting the publicity go to their heads! I’m so happy you like the scrappy chicks. They are a true Pass It On project. The fabric and original idea come from dear friends Billie (a master quilter) and her daughter Joan (doing her best to supply our neck of the woods with flowers from her yard).

  4. What a fun idea! I’ve been trying to do more “pass it on” kind of things myself, but I forgot March, dang it. Thanks for the reminder (how sad I need a reminder to be nice. lol) Anyway, love that needlepoint, very cool!

  5. Love Henny and Penny! Have fun on spring break!

  6. Oh Kelly, I knew there was at least one kind bone in that body of yours …

    Have a fabulous Spring Break!

  9. Seriously jealous…I love that needlepoint!!! Why don’t I ever find awesome things like that?! Now I’m really considering taking up needlepoint. Those colors were meant for my little condo!! :)
