Mission Organization: Jewelry Drawer

The jumbled jewelry drawer taunted me
My heart was all a flutter.

I needed to find my vintage brooch
Hidden among the clutter.

I vowed to organize every bracelet, necklace and ring

Before the day was over.

Hoping to easily find my favorite bling
And not have to borrow from a neighbor.

The task was daunting
I wasn’t sure I’d finish on time.

It had me yearning and wanting
To curl up with a huge glass of wine.

But instead I pushed on
That drawer was no match for me.

Now it’s gorgeous and glam
And my bling is as organized as can be.

The moral of the story
Is as old as time.

You’ll succeed in a blaze of glory
And be rewarded with a big glass of wine.

  1. Your drawer looks amazing! I’ve used a wooden cutlery drawer divider to organize mine, works not too bad. How do you keep the cups from sliding when you open the drawer? Did you glue them down?
    And I love your poem!
    Debbie 🙂

  2. Great job. I have been thinking my jewelry is getting out of hand. And I have a drawer in the bathroom that is basically just a junk drawer. Might have to reorganize 😉

  3. Oh, I just did the same thing. I organized all of my jewelry, gave some away, and just prettied it all up. Love finding things that I had forgotten I had.

  4. I love organizing stuff! Nuts? Maybe, but I am so much happier when I know where eveything is and the clutter is gone! I’m getting ready to attack my evil vortex garage. NOW THAT’S NUTS! Enjoy your organization projects! Hugs, Leena

  5. you should do a linky party about ‘our’ jewelry ‘mess’..which mine is….and how we reorganized it !!! seriously…would motivate everyone….mine is way worse than yours…
but i LOVE your little glass ash tray from echo valley….i have one from the poconos that my parents got on their honeymoon !! and i use it by my kitchen sink for jewelry too !!! lol !

  6. Hope this motivates me to organize my jewelry drawer. Yours looks great and sound like you had fun doing it. A little glass of wine always helps.

  7. Kelly! First, so glad you found the brooch! Second, your new accessories drawer is amazing (and so are the baubles we spy in there)! Can’t wait to see the rest of what you’ve got coming this year. Will you come down to NC and organize our place?

    xoxo,

  8. muffin tins and tea cups, how brilliant! plus just looking at them makes you feel happy! I am currently using plastic ice cube trays which DO NOT make me happy! I am going for cuter! Thanks!

  9. What a very clever way of storing and organizing your jewelry drawer. I have one that is capable of being organized but is badly in need of order.
