I tawt I taw a puddy tat.

I did!  I did see a puddy tat.

Well, I actually spotted four yellow canaries, two black ducks and one ornery gun slinger …

all in the aisles of the thrift shop.

You see all kinds of crazy things there so I wasn’t surprised.

40 years old and not a chip among them.

Now that’s something to tweet about!

  1. Well, aren’t those cute? It seems to me that you got those at some fast food place back in the early 70’s as kind of the “bonus” to your meal. I saw some in a store not too long ago and they were $10 per glass. What a find!!! xo Diana

  2. Just so you know… you can’t say “black” ducks anymore… that isn’t P.C. !!!!
you have to say something like…”Mallard” ducks.

    I know, that’s DAFFY!

  3. LOVE! Until 3 weeks ago, I had the entire 14 piece set/collection of the Warner Bros. Looney tunes glasses. I sold them on eBay (time for a new collection) for about $100 for the set plus huge S&H. You were lucky to find these indeed! They can be very popular for collectors. I don’t know if yours are Brockway or Federal but Federal (thinner glass) is more costly because of the fragility. AND beyond all that – they are just cute but don’t put them in the dishwasher!

  4. LOL! I remember when there were jelly jars that used to look like that! We collected the whole set! Awesome find!

Have a great day rock star!

  5. A tad jealous here! My daughter would adore these glasses. Thrifting is one of life’s small pleasures. Can’t wait for better weather and the start of “garage sale” season!

  6. These are so great! You always find the best stuff! Thought of you today. Had a girls day with friends from work. We rarely see each other outside of the classroom so? This was a big treat! Goodwill, Savers, and antique stores were our goal. I found three old canning jars filled with beautiful old buttons $3.00 each! And I could live in guy’s denim shirts…so comfy. Goodwill had some over sized ones for $2.00! My coffee cost more then my treasures!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!

  7. 40 years old? Seriously? Someone was so good to their glass ware. Where is the Roadrunner? He is my favorite. Wait a minute, did those glasses come from Acme Supply company?

  8. I hate to admit this, but I a complete set of those Looney Tune glasses!!…Have thought to sell them, but still cannot find myself to part with them….they are so cute!!!…Hey, you want a set of McDonald’s glasses?…the Hamburglar is just adorable!!….ha!…Have a wonderful Easter with your family Kelly!

  9. I seem to recall in the late 70s that Hardee’s had these glasses. Those look really good for being that old. I love how businesses used to do that. I have beautiful green Boopie glasses that my mother-in-law used to get in her laundry detergent! And I do remember my mom pulling out dish towels from laundry detergent as well. How cool!
    Enjoy!
