Eclectic House Tour – The Decorologist

The Decorologist Living Room - love the eclectic mix of furniture and accessories! kellyelko.com

She gave me a run for my money.

Kristie of The Decorologist and I had a knock down, drag out fight for first place in Apartment Therapy’s Room for Color Contest.

Only one slim vote (thanks dad!) separated her living room from my sunroom which swooped in for the win.

  3. Eeeek, I was gonna comment that my favorite thing was the couch. Then I saw that light over the banquet. And then I kept scrolling and finding more favorites. What a great house. I’m off to check out her site…..

  4. What a gorgeous home! Love the unique rooms. Especially the floor with the star! Wow, I can see how it was such a close vote, both rooms are amazing. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Sorry. For me, though I do love the colors, I feel as if this is a museum home. I would rather take some pieces separately on their own mixed in with a more modern home.

  6. What an absolutely beautiful home!!! It took me 20 minutes to finish this post…every picture is filled with so much eye candy to look at! I don’t know which is my favorite…the office, the dining room, or that little vanity area, the bathroom…it’s all just sooooo pretty!

  7. Congrats on your win and such a gracious one at that, not that I am surprised on either count! I have said it before but will again, I adore that room! Thanks for sharing the work of your worthy opponent too.

  8. I loved the old hardware on closest door I was in Construction hardware for over 20 years so my eyes always goes to that first. Love the look of the whole house. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I love old hardware too Carol! In fact, I removed all the old doorknobs from some of the doors original to the house and reused them on different doors!
