A Wonderful Thanksgiving Memory
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I’ll be wearing my elastic waist pants, heading to my sister’s house and eating lots and lots of carbs.
We’ll watch the parade on tv and remember our fun day of going into NYC to see the Macy’s parade floats inflate before our eyes.
It’s a sight to behold – put it on your bucket list.
Wrapping around the Museum of Natural History, and across from Central Park, the floats compete with the beautiful architecture.
We even saw the Elf on the Shelf – have you seen our Elf – Hot Tamale – and all the trouble he gets himself into.
They save the best for last – an appearance from the jolly old fella himself.
From my family to yours,
have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Stay tuned for tomorrow and …
Kelly’s Favorite Things Giveaway! It’s a biggie – you won’t want to miss it!
Need a last minute place setting – check out mine here.
What about a fun craft for the kids – this one rocks here.
Wishing you and your family a Very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day

Happy Thanksgiving, Kelly, and many lovely Eclectic Vintage blessings 🙂 Laura
Happy Thanksgiving & thanks for sharing your photos of an old Macy’s Parade memory. It’s been part of Thanksgiving tradition (watching it on TV) since I was a girl – then with my husband & daughters
Now our daughters live in NYC
My “kids” & grandson watched the balloons blow up yesterday from a friend’s apartment windows and watched the parade live from their street this morning (my son-in-law got up at 5:30 this morning to save spots at the front for his wife & son who’s 2 1/2 and a little over 3 ft tall; my daughter isn’t much taller at 4’11” — I know they were thankful for his sacrifice for them & enjoyed seeing the parade without anyone in front of them. They were ALL thankful for dry weather and light enough wind so the balloons got to fly – even though low. My grandson loved the balloons, clowns, and marching bands. He was thrilled by the Sesame Street Float — “Big Bird waved to me” & our big kids loved Jimmy Fallon with Big Bird
How exciting to watch from above – I need to find a friend with a great view of the parade!!

What a fantastic adventure to see things for the parade being prepared. Enjoyed the photos, glad you shared them. I would so love to be able to go there to see part of NYC.
Hope your Thanksgiving was all you hoped it to be and you didn’t eat too much. I’m craving another piece of pumpkin pie with whip topping with a cup of coffee. It’s late but why not? The pair of pants I just bought at Sam’s club yesterday that’s why not. Aw shucks. OH well I can dream can’t I. From now on there’s no more printing out tempting, delicious, fattening dessert recipes from all you bloggers. I need to keep the weight off. Have been successful for 2 holiday seasons now. So far so good. Happy days
Congrats!! Blogging has given me a little extra junk in my trunk!
