Eclectic Home Tour – Luxury Mountain Retreat

Mountain home decor ideas aplenty in this luxury home designed by Birds of a Feather at kellyelko.com

It’s a magical retreat tucked away in the mountains of North Carolina.

Designed by friends Hooper & Ann of Birds of a Feather who describe their style as …

“Ann loves art and an eclectic mix of found pieces and those with a history.  Hooper loves bold color, patterns and layers of accessories.  Merge the two and somehow, it just works!”

From the looks of the this stunning mountain home decor, I would say they are definitely a dream team.

  1. I really like just about everything except, what’s up with the green chandelier? And the antlers that seem to be everywhere lately, eww don’t like those at all. The black and white bedroom is striking, but I think if I was ill, that would be very unsettling. I go to bed for calm and quietness. I do like eclectic~~I DO, honest!

  2. I found this retreat’s decor inspirational. Not “take a photo and copy every single detail” – although there are so many that I’d love to have, but truly inspiring how they merged their styles, had fun with the decor, added a bit of artistic flair, took chances, and fulfilled a creative vision all to create a livable and lovable space. Job well done. I wish I could give myself the freedom to explore and express in my decor like they’ve done. Loved this tour!

  3. I have had a torn out page from a magazine featuring the bedroom with the white canopy bed on my refrigerator for over a month . I love the bedside table in the photo and plan on refinishing a cabinet that I have to look like that.

  4. That metal chair with the circle cut outs is AWESOME!!! So many fun details in that space! And congrats on the Joss and Main event! I know you will have some great finds that are electically vintage! 🙂

  5. What a gorgeous home! Love all the pops of color and all the pattern! refreshing, bold and so beautiful! So excited to see what’s on your sale Kelly!

  6. I love the eclectic mix of furnishings in the featured home. It proves the saying that, if you fill your home with things you love, somehow it all goes together.
PS- I’m already on the Joss & Main mailing list so I’ll be watching for your curated sale!

  7. What a fabulous home. I was feeling pretty satisfied with half done DIY home until I saw this post. I might have to abandon my plans to finish my stairs this weekend and paint my powder room with zebra stripes. LOVE. I have a book I have to finish for my book club next Friday, they shouldn’t be surprised if they find me in their tub in that amazing master bath. I want plank ceilings!
