Eclectic Home Tour – Little Cottage on the Pond

Little Cottage on the Pond home tour - love the open kitchen shelves

Tricia from Little Cottage on the Pond is a Texas girl with loads of style.

No wonder Country Living will soon be featuring her home in the pages of their magazine!

Take the tour and we can all say “we knew her before all the fame”!

Curb appeal - love the brick with blue shutters

She loves to display her flea market finds and made sure to have plenty of open storage space (and a pig)!

White cottage kitchen

This makes me really regret passing up a similar scale – sob!

Vintage scale - perfect for display

Cute towel holder - a vintage hanger

Cottage dining room - love the dark doors

Vintage basket

Vintage school desk and a cute collection of shoe molds

Love the idea of layering an old leaded window in front of a window in the house.

Beautiful entrance foyer

There’s a surprise every where you turn – don’t forget to look up.

Love this map ceiling

Family room hutch

Cozy family room

Entrance console table

Super cute clock hands wall art

Vintage brush collection

Tricia saw this headboard in a Ballard Designs catalog and decided to make her own – right down to the cute little bird perched on top!

Ballard Designs knockoff bed - love the details right down to the little bird

She’s so vain …

I mean, Tricia’s got a great vanity – the perfect place for primping.

Bathroom vanity

Master bathtub

The glass front armoire is perfect for showing off linens.

Love the glass panels on this armoire

Organized laundry room

The perfect place to fluff and fold.

Laundry room shelves and storage

Water closet - love the shelf over the window

These industrial bunk beds are the stuff dreams are made of …

Industrial DIY bunk beds

Propeller art

and so is this pretty girls room.

Aqua and pink girls bedroom

A potting shed, some ferns and a place to rest make the patio as cozy as the cottage.

Love this porch and the potting shed

Tricia has recently downsized to a cute fixer upper.  I can’t wait to see how she transforms her new home.

Be sure to stop by Little Cottage on the Pond to follow along on her renovation and check out all of her amazing furniture transformations.

P.S. Tricia and her daughter Sara are part of the Happy Soul Project – Painting Outside the Lines featuring their inspirational messages on hand painted signs which raises money for Down Syndrome awareness.

  18. On this last week of school, I must say that looking at your sweet blog is so calming! As a music teacher in an elementary school, it’s more than a little “noisy.” They are exuberant, delightful and so fun–but so noisy! Thereby, I simmer my chai latte, open up your blog and look at some of the different eclectic homes you have featured. Salve to my nerves! I will have to limit myself to a certain amount of time, come this summer, or I won’t get ANYTHING done! You are a source of peace in my less than peaceful world. Grazi!

  19. Adore the dressing table and I saw another post where the old window was placed inside of the newer window and think this one looks nice as well.

  1. […] I figure if I can’t build my farmhouse right now, I can have a front door that reminds me of one…yes?  Love these doors! source […]
