Party with My Peeps Easter Wreath

What says Easter better than a gooey sugar coated marshmallow shaped chick or bunny?

The infamous Easter peep has been reincarnated into a wreath!

Remember my marshmallow wreath? – well I figured …

peeps are just marshmallows with the added cuteness factor so why not do a Peep wreath?!

I always feel like somebody’s watching me!  (extra credit if you remember who sang that)!

Peeps Wreath

* styrofoam wreath (mine is 16″)
* Peeps (I used 140) – go wild with chicks, bunnies, multi-color or single
* toothpicks (same amount as peeps)
* wired ribbon for hanging

1) Stick toothpick in styrofoam wreath
2) Stick Peep onto toothpick
3) Wrap ribbon around wreath and tie into a bow

That’s it – can’t get any easier than that!

And here’s my marshmallow wreath that really started the idea brewing.

  1. Found you through YHL today and I think this is such a cute idea! I’m obsessed with peeps, and this gives me another excuse to buy them in mass quantities this year. 🙂

Do you think you could use a spray lacquer on it to make it last several seasons?

    1. I’m sure you could spray it to give it more staying power but the peeps are hard as a rock! I think if I just wrap it in a plastic bag when I store it, it should be ok without the spray.

    2. A friend suggested that you culd spray it with a clear sealer to protect it from getting sticky and attracting bugs.

  2. Just popped over from the Young House Love Pinterest Challenge. I have to admit what drew me over was the project name – A Peep Wreath? As in marshmallow Peeps? Brilliant! It looks so cute, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t last very long in my house without little pieces going missing. This is why we never have real candy canes on our Christmas tree 🙂

  3. Found you from YHL Challenge… and the peep wreath is on my list to do with my little 3-year old. I love it! Too cute, (and funny!) 🙂

  4. Oh Kelly, I love your Peeps wreath! It is so cute & such a fun pop of color. Thanks so much for linking to my party.

***I always feel like somebody’s watching me***is by Rockwell with Michael Jackson singing that famous chorus. Can you tell I love the 80s? lol

  5. Okay, I’ve been searching around Google for a peeps wreath and here it is all day on your blog!

And sorry I missed your call. I’m a total dork when it comes to v-mail. Like I don’t pick it up. And didn’t recognize your #. Will call you tomorrow …

Cuz I was a bit crabby today (= no fun)

And I’m pinning cuz I’ve been itching to pin a peeps wreath all day …

    🙂

  6. We just bought some peeps yesterday. If I attempted to make a wreath, I am afraid that most of the peeps would end up eaten and not on the wreath! Cute idea!

    Linking from Random Thoughts 😀

  7. Kelly! Yes….. yes….

Wreath + Mirror = Heavenly Peeps Springy LOVE

But tell me… with all the marshmallow + hot glue…. how have your fingers not been eaten alive by death from any “Smores Disaster”?!

    Happy Happy SPRING!

  8. This is a great idea! I want the bonus points!!!! This singer was Rockwell and Michael Jackson sang back-up. Hey, do I get bonus points?

    Maureen

  9. I don’t know how you make it without eating all the Peeps!! Such a temptation! I love it though! Hope you stop by and share it at my Link Party! (ps – will see you at the Mission Possible: Its a Cinch Party!)

  10. Kelly, This Peeps wreath is just so cute! Bummer to find out you aren’t the only brilliant one around to create such a fun wreath. 🙂 I’ll have to buy some Peeps on sale after Easter and create one. Cheap cheeps….. LOL

  11. I’ve been looking at all of the wreaths using the Peeps Bunnies and this is by far my favorite. I’m basing mine on your design, but with multi-colored bunnies.

  12. Love this BUT the peeps would not last long enough to be made into a wreath. I use the stale ones in cocoa. Sort of playful? Or sadistic?

  13. Hi Kelly! I pinned your peep wreath yesterday afternoon when I stopped by, and I’ve had 127 repins. (Which is more than anything I personally have ever pinned.) People LOVE your bunny wreath. Well, duh, it is ADORABLE!! Nice goin’!

  14. I am going to snag a ton of peeps after Easter for cheap and make one or 2 of these since I don’t have an Easter wreath… thanks for sharing

  17. This could just be an edible wreath for a party…pull on off and move on..
I open my peeps up so they get harder before I consume them anyway..
Love this idea…Thank you for sharing.

  18. So now that this post is over 3 years old, has anyone made this and saved it from year to year?
Did you use a sealant and if so what kind?
I would like to save mine, but would prefer not to have ants crawling all over it from now until next year 🙂
    Thanks in advance.

  19. Hi – we have an egg hunt every year, this is our 12th and I am so excited to make this wreath, thank you for the cute & (what seems easy) idea. Has anyone hung this outside? Does it attract squirrels or the like? Or are most using as an indoor decoration?
    Thx!

  20. So because the wreath is inside do you spray anything ok the wreath so that lil insects don’t come flying on your peeps wreath?

  21. Do you eat the peeps off of the wreath or do you spray it with something to preserve the peeps wreath for years? And the same with your marshmallow wreath?
