Baguettes, bagels, croissants …
rye, wheat, sourdough, pumpernickel.
Any way you slice it, I am a bread addict.
Slathered in salted butter is my preference.
Place a loaf on the counter in the morning and chances are that by nightfall there will only be a few telltale crumbs.
Think if I hide it away in this bread box and shut the door, the temptation will disappear?

This is a good time for this! I’ve just found my Mom’s in a box. I’ve made two runs to the thrift stores to get rid of stuff (I’m purging) and it is still here. It’s now trendy again as it’s dark brown and chrome. Can’t decide whether to keep it or not. Did they really keep bread fresh? Hmmmm…….

You are SO lucky to have scored a seemingly vintage breadbox. they are few and far between, and the new ones just do not meet muster (I know, I have one). you have fab thrifts in your neck of the woods.
I love that! We go through bread here like there is no tomorrow. That could come in handy.

Love your breadbox. I just found two very similar at the Goodwill Outlet in Nashville recently. Cheap enough that I bought both so as to maybe sale one. Love having the other one for my bread obsession as well.
I have not seen a breadbox that cool in I don’t know how many years. Did you eat the bread that was in there?
